Evidence of Malacañang’s hand in the alleged bogus impeachment complaint against President Arroyo, to guarantee her immunity for a year from any move by Congress to remove her constitutionally through an impeachment process, was bared yesterday by activist Rep. Crispin Beltran of Anakpawis party-list.
Beltran took to the floor yesterday and disclosed an offer from a Malacañang “messenger” of P2 million for him to endorse the impeachment complaint filed surreptitiously last Friday, at the close of office hours in Congress.
Congressional sources yesterday claimed the “Malacañang messenger” is a former presidential aide but stopped short of identifying him by name. Daily Tribune

One of the difficulties for big European business when dealing with RP govt is not only the amount of money to be used for bribing officials but also determining the number of officials to be bribed.
When you think that you've come up with the figures and thereby feel that you now can start presenting your project, you come up with layers and layers of obstructions and you keep going back and forth trying to weed out those obstructions so you can have a semblance of job being done but no, the more time you spend on the project and money, the more excessive corruption becomes.
The fixing of 190 members of the legislature is prime example of how you start doing business with RP and get anywhere - results are of course not guaranteed!
